Contrast in Sketches - Workshop Recording

Contrast in Sketches - Workshop Recording

Contrast in sketches is one of the most important components in a well-constructed sketch. During the three-hour workshop, we will do exercises that will allow us to understand the role of contrast and, most importantly, how to use it correctly. To do this, we will work with a truly black mixture for our drawings - Indian ink. In addition, I will tell you how to create a deep black watercolor on your own - if you don’t have ink on hand.

To make it more interesting to study the two new sketching techniques, we will go on a trip to Europe and visit Finland, Portugal, and Italy. Yes, yes, in three hours we will make three sketches using non-standard techniques.

We will need:

Basic set of watercolor paints

Liquid Indian Ink

Bamboo stick for kebab or cocktails (recommended), or a dip (nib) pen

Several sheets of watercolor or mixed media paper (cotton paper is optional) – sketching size
